2026-10-01 — Launch housekeeping

Reports are now emailed to you as a document: the Review within 5 business days of payment, the Roadmap within 10. The hosted report links and the website badge described in earlier entries are retired. No directory link earns a commission, so the earlier affiliate note no longer applies. Buying from us no longer adds you to a mailing list. Virtual Planet Pty Ltd’s ABN (79 694 149 589) is now on every page.

2026-10-01 — What each package covers

Each package now says exactly what it covers: one website, and up to 5 (Review) or 10 (Roadmap) main services or products, each scored on its own. A second website for the same business is a fixed-price add-on; three or more go to Enterprise & Agency. Online shops are counted by product category. The order form asks about both, and we confirm any extras before payment. Coverage table.

2026-09-30 — Packages revised

The paid offer is now three packages, priced in Australian dollars, excluding GST.

  • Starter — AI Visibility Review, A$500 + GST. Website review, industry-specific assessment, competitor review, AI Visibility Score™, Four Pillar Assessment, prioritised opportunities and an executive summary report.
  • Growth — AI Visibility Roadmap, A$1,250 + GST. Everything in the Review, plus a detailed implementation roadmap, schema, crawler and content recommendations, platform-specific guidance, industry-specific examples and a priority matrix.
  • Enterprise & Agency, custom. Multi-site businesses, agencies, franchises, large organisations and white label.

The monthly dashboard and the self-hosted Azure licence described in the entries below have been withdrawn, and their pages removed. Every review now includes industry-specific criteria for local businesses, professional services, e-commerce, SaaS and tourism. Anyone who bought under the earlier pricing received what they paid for and owes nothing further.

2026-08-01 — Offerings, not websites

The unit of measurement changed. An assistant is never asked whether a website is good; it is asked who does this specific thing. So a site now gets one score per offering rather than one overall, and the overall number is a roll-up shown beneath them.

Running the rubric against this showed the checks do not all sit at the same level: 33 of the 111 points are domain-wide (robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemap, Organization schema, rendering, name consistency) and 78 are per offering. A domain fault caps every offering at once, which is why the fix order now starts with the foundation.

Offering detection will sometimes be wrong. Every report lists what it found and which pages went where, so you can tell us when a cluster is split or merged badly.

2026-08-01 — A ladder, not a replacement

The audit stays at US$149 and stays the thing we lead with. It is the diagnostic, it is complete on its own, and most people should stop there.

Above it there is now a dashboard at US$49 a month for one website, an agency tier from US$299 a month for a client book, and the self-hosted licence for anyone running it in their own Azure. Below it, the free checker is unchanged.

The journey is audit, fix, monitor, optimise, agent ready — and only the first two are necessary. Most AI visibility products are dashboards looking for a diagnosis. We would rather be the diagnosis, with a dashboard available to anyone who wants to watch what happens next.

An earlier version of this change cut the audit to US$99 to make room for the subscription. That was the wrong instinct: it undersold the thing that actually works and treated the diagnostic as a lead magnet for the recurring line. Reverted.

Monitoring is new — US$49 a month or US$490 a year. It re-runs the audit monthly, tracks each offering over time, and tells you when something breaks.

We have said repeatedly on this site that we are not a subscription, so this deserves an explanation rather than a quiet edit. The one-off audit is not going away and is not being phased out; you never have to subscribe to use anything here. What changed is that enough people asked how do I know it is still working that having no answer was becoming the gap. A theme update strips your schema and nothing tells you.

If you think we have talked ourselves into a recurring revenue line and dressed it up as a customer need, that is a fair reading, and the monitoring page lists three kinds of buyer who should not purchase it.

2026-08-01 — One free re-scan added

Every paid report now includes one free re-scan within 90 days, run from a link in the report itself. Same rubric, before and after side by side.

Ninety days rather than thirty because nobody finishes the work in a month, and rather than a year because the rubric moves — a re-scan eleven months later would be measuring something different, and the comparison would mislead. This replaces the previous "no re-checks" position, which was wrong.

2026-08-01 — The checker detects your platform

The free check now identifies what your website is built on from the page source alone — Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, BigCommerce, Ghost, Drupal, Craft, Next.js or Astro — and links to the guide for that platform. It needs no sitemap and no robots.txt, so it works even when nothing else about your site is readable.

2026-08-01 — Pricing restructured

Two tiers instead of one. The audit is US$49 — your whole website crawled, scored against all four pillars, every issue prioritised. The audit plus the Fix Pack is US$149 — the same analysis plus the schema, llms.txt, FAQs, titles and instructions, generated for your pages.

Anyone who bought at US$49 before this change received what is now the Fix Pack, and owes nothing further.

2026-08-01 — The pillars renamed

Read you, Answer as you, Call you and Transact with you became Find you, Describe you, Use you and Buy from you — one verb each, matching the headline. The scoring is unchanged; only the labels moved. The formal dimension names are Discoverability, Comprehension, Actionability and Agent readiness.

Some directory links now earn us a commission. They are marked, they carry rel="sponsored", and the policy is published beside the reviews. Nothing is a paid placement and the order is not for sale. This entry exists because the about page previously said we used no affiliate links, and that is no longer true.

2026-08-01 — Four pillars

Pillar three split in two, because the protocols split there and so does the work. MCP standardises how an assistant reaches its tools; A2A standardises how agents deal with each other as peers. Being callable and being transactable are different jobs with different timelines.

The four are now an escalation of what a machine does with your business: finds you → describes you → uses you → buys from you.

2026-08-01 — Restructured around pillars

The site now covers three distinct problems rather than one, because they are genuinely different and need to be treated differently:

  1. Get cited in vendor AI chats. Influence only — nobody controls a vendor's model.
  2. Feed your own assistant. The one pillar where the outcome is entirely yours.
  3. Agent assist. Being a tool another agent can call.
  4. Agentic. A2A, Agent Cards and agentic checkout.

URLs moved as part of this. Guides that lived under /learn/ are now under /get-cited/, our own generators moved to /tools/, and third-party tool reviews moved to /directory/. Nothing was indexed at the time, so no redirects were needed.
